Today, 614 million women and girls are living in areas affected by conflict. From Palestine to Ukraine, Haiti, Sudan, and Afghanistan, their numbers continue to rise as geopolitical tensions, climate crises, and health emergencies escalate.
In times of crisis, women and girls face heightened risks of gender-based violence and are nearly 8 times more likely to experience poverty and food insecurity compared to men, yet existing financial structures are failing women. Currently, less than 1% of global government aid directly supports women’s rights organisations.
The need for funding has never been more urgent.
