Why I'm fundraising for women and girls in crisis
I'm participating next March in Trek for Rights 2025 with UN Women Australia. Over five days, I'll be trekking through Aotearoa New Zealand’s Southern Alps and am asking for your support to help fundraise for UN Women Australia’s work.
This is a cause that's important to me. My work has given me the opportunity to meet, work with and learn from women who have lived through conflict and crisis, including those who have fled their home country to escape war and modern slavery in various forms. Their stories and courage have inspired me. And it's incomprehensible that they are just some of the 614 million women and girls living in communities affected by conflict, war and natural disasters. If I can do a small thing to make a big difference, I'm in and I hope you are too.
Every donation is tax deductible (tax receipt will be issued) and will go directly to support UN Women raise vital funds for women and girls affected by conflict and crisis. **I pay for my travel and trek expenses personally.**
